It is a perfect fit for your kindle and it will keep it in mint condition protected from dirt, scratches and light knocks.
I have dropped my kindle in the floor inside my case and it protected it nicely, although I can't say that this case is impact proof and I can't be held responsible for that!!
The case is interlined with a layer of wadding plus a layer of stiff interfacing, for strength and structure.
The case closes with a thick felt closure, with velcro stitched on and my label on the back of the case.
It is lined with a technical velvet material on the inside, similar to the one used on some camera cases.
