Full description
Apache Jasper is found in Mimbres Valley, New Mexico, which is named after the Mimbres Indians that lived in the Valley over 1,000 years ago. The Mimbres Indians are of interest as they seemingly disappeared. It is believed that they integrated with other Indians such as the Apaches, who came to live in the area.
These two Apache Jasper stones have real character, each splashed with it's own personality. Check out all the pictures to see them from a few angles...they don't disappoint!
The stones measure around 18mm x 13mm, and are hung from sterling silver ear hooks. They are a pale blue-grey colour...a bit like duck eggs! The patterns show burgundy, black, and a little mustard too.
