Full description
2 lovely pages from the 27th ‘Blackie’s Children’s Annual’ published in 1930. One page shows a gorgeous print called ‘A banquet in a Dream’ and the other has a poem called ‘Titbits’.
The print is a fabulous coloured illustration of a little girl sitting in front of a plate laden with jellies, fruit, sugar and cakes with 2 butlers rushing to serve her with more covered platters of food!
The poem ‘Titbits’ tells us what this little girl likes to eat at a banquet in a dream and has a couple of lovely black and white illustrations.
The pages measure approximately 27 cm x 20 cm (10.5in x 8in). There is writing / pictures on the back of these pages but this doesn't show through as the paper is very thick.
These pages have been rescued from the 1930 Blackie’s Children’s Annual. This book was falling apart but the inside pages were still lovely so we have saved these great pages.
‘A banquet in a Dream’ is a bright, lovely, high quality illustration. It’s printed on heavy grade paper which has a lovely, slightly yellowing vintage patina. The pages are as they have been taken from the book so their edges are slightly rough.
This gorgeous illustration and poem are perfect for matting and framing.
