HooterNinnies love herbs and chillies! They have to use their long snouts to help sniff out herbs from far away. Their knotted tails help them remember where all the herbs and chillies are! You can find out more about how the HooterNinnies arrived, on my blog site Thesockgarden http://thesockgarden.wordpress.com/2009/08/03/a-herd-of-hooterninnies/

Full description

Meet Cocoa the Mini HooterNinnie…

Cocoa is a very teeny weeny HooterNinnie and is a lot like our lovely woodland hedgehogs but much softer! At just 7cm from nose to bottom he’s small enough to fit in the palm of an adults hand.

He’s been crocheted using the Japanese style, Amigurumi. This method is very neat as it is worked in a spiral - there are no seams, just a hole at the end of each piece that can be stuffed and then sewn closed. Three different yarns have been used - a flecked aran for the face, and two brown yarns for the body one of which is a silky ribbon yarn. He's stuffed with polyester filling and finished off with a knotted tail. He has black bead eyes and a black felt nose.

(not suitable for young children due to tiny bead eyes)
