I was searching for bargains on eBay and found needle felted bobbles along with needle felted acorns - I found them tantalizing. The next day, I took our Collie out for a walk with the intention of searching out Oak trees. I procured a fantastic amount of acorn caps, pine cones and inspiration and the FAKEorn was born.
Even my husband (who loves heavy metal music and glam rock) thinks my 'making of things' is mental wants me to find some glitter felt to make Christmas tree decorations!

These adorable little acorns have been created using carefully sourced felt off-cuts, and by using fallen acorn caps (found whilst walking our Border Collie Cass through the Sirhowy Forestry in the Welsh Valleys) in order to create an authentic looking acorn or FAKEorn.
These particular FAKEorns are Moss Green in colour and there are seven all together (one is a double-cap). They are stuffed with bits and bobs of felt off-cuts and wadding from a re-purposed stuffed toy.
Whilst these particular FAKEorns are green, I adore making these little cuties so very much that I have them in a multitude of colours along with a bag of felt and a bowl of acorn caps just begging to be given new life.
If you would like to place a custom order to match your colour scheme then I would be more than happy to oblige at only 0.20p per FAKEorn. I can also paint the caps (in silver, red or gold for example) at no additional charge.
These FAKEorns do not have hanging loops, but they can easily be added with a little cotton - just ask!

All FAKEorns will come VERY carefully wrapped to ensure their safe delivery.
