I love gettng inspiration from the great outdoors and trees are a particular favourite! I'm fascinated by the texture and patterns seen on tree bark, especially silver birch trees. There is one growing near our house, I can see it from the window of my work room and I thought that the contrast of the silky smooth patches of silver bark with the peeling darker bark would translate well into a piece of jewellery!

Simple and stylish pendant in Sterling silver.
This pendant has been hand pierced, filed, soldered, then hammered with a cross-pein hammer to give a 'bark-like' effect. It's then polished to a mirror shine.
The bark pattern and the smooth, mirrored surface are a lovely contrast!
The pendant is strung from a Sterling Silver snake chain, which is both stylish & comfortable.
Chain length approx 18 inches/43cm
Comfortable to wear for everyday or a special occasion
