Full description
A small leather pouch, made out of oil treated split hide, making it highly supple, and staining it a richer dark brown. The pouch is 'turned', or stitched inside out, to give a cleaner look, and minimise wear to the stitching. Fastening is achieved with a strap and loop design as pictured, which is commonplace on re-enactment pouches. The belt loop and strap are formed of the same piece of leather, which makes the pouch very clean and simple.
This pouch would suit a reenactor looking for poorer kit, as it is of a simple design.
It could also serve as a pouch for other purposes, for example tobacco, a mobile phone or coins. The possibilities are endless!
