NOG Castile “Minty Old Goat” (Peppermint & Pine)
Peppermint and Pine are the only essential oils added, just enough to make you feel a bit of zing , we love this as a summer soap.
NOG stands for "No Other Guff" but Tír na nÓg is also the fabled island off the west coast of Ireland, "The land of perpetual youth". NOG only make a true pure Handmade Castile Goats Milk Soap. Being a Castile Soap it’s truly magical for anyone who has dry or sensitive skin and particularly good for anyone who has Psoriasis, Eczema or Rosacea but of course if you just want fabulously soft skin then this is the soap for you too!
Olive Oil and a true Castile Soap??
Well a true Castile Soap only uses Olive Oil as the base, this gives the soap many wonderful benefits for the skin. Some oils can actually dry the skin or block the pores with a film so this is why we use only Olive Oil. It's renowned for it's ability to act as a humectant, this allows the skin to breathe while actually attracting and holding moisture in the skin then allowing the skin to do what it does naturally uninhibited, perspire & shed.
Goats Milk??
We use Goats Milk as it's an incredibly good natural moisturiser for the skin as well as wonderful for healing and soothing. It was said that Cleopatra maintained her legendary beauty by bathing in Goats Milk, its skin care qualities have been recognized for millennia across many cultures. Goats Milk contains naturally occurring alpha-hydroxy, proteins, minerals and high levels of Vitamins A and E, it's also a natural anti-inflammatory. The alpha-hydroxyl has restorative and rejuvenating qualities that assists in healing.
Ingredients: Sodium Olivate, Goats Milk, Aqua (water), Cera alba (Beeswax) Mentha piperita (Peppermint oil), Pinus sylvestris (Pine oil)
