I HAVE MADE THIS LAMPSHADE UP FROM A VINTAGE CHILDS DRESS,CIRCA EDWARDIAN ERA I THINK. THE DRESS HAD SOME DAMAGED AREAS SO I USED THE GOOD AREAS TO CREATE A BEDROOM STYLE LAMPSHADE. IT MEASURES 10 INCH ACROSS DIAMETER AND STANDS APPROX 9 INCH ,THAT IS TAKING IN THE LACE THAT OVERHANGS THE BASE SHADE.THE UNDERNEATH IS MADE UP IN A CREAMY WHITE FABRIC AND TRIMMED WITH A CREAM BRAID. I DO HAVE ENOUGH OF BOTH FABRICS TO MAKE ANOTHER IF REQUIRED. FULLY LINED WITH SOFT COTTON JERSEY
I SHOULD JUST LIKE TO ADD THERE ARE 2 AREAS ON THE FABRIC WHICH I MUST SHOW YOU A SMALL FEINT BEIGE MARK AND SOME PAST DARNING WORK.CONSIDERING THE AGE THIS IS UNDERSTANDABLE.HOWEVER THEY ARE HARD TO STOP AND IN NO WAY OBVIOUS.
