Full description
Just over 30mm in diameter (not including the loop!) and nearly 20mm at the thickest part, this half marble is difficult to get the 3d effect in a photograph. I’ve formed a cluster of three blue and white flowers with yellow centres, with more cream white petals beneath. On the back I’ve melted in white and brown dots to give the effect of gravel behind the flowers. On the petals are some bubbles to suggest drops of fresh dew. This is NOT a picture on the back of the glass but actually formed inside.
On the top I’ve formed a loop of glass of glass to hang it from, it can either be hung from a plain silver chain, a length or ribbon or leather, or added to your own creation. If you’d like it pre-hung please convo me and we can sort something out!
This has been entirely made in my own studio, forming molten glass directly in a superhot propane & oxygen flame. It was then annealed in a digital controlled kiln to improve toughness – although it is still glass so should be treated with care so it will last a lifetime – or longer!
