Full description

Hand made from a single piece of solid Cocobolo from an FSC certified source, an extremely hard beautiful deep red timber with darker streaks. These magnifiers feature a two and a half inch diameter glass lens and solid brass chrome plated bezel and fittings.

The handle is of an ergonomic design which fits snugly into the palm of your hand and is of a sturdy design with a brass tube running through enabling a very secure fit of the bezel. Classic curves rounded off with a decorative bead at the end make these elegant magnifying glasses a superb addition to any office or study, or simply just a useful & beautiful household object.

Finish is a three part technique starting with a water based acrylic sealer. When dry, this is polished with very fine abrasive lubricated with walnut oil then finished off with my own special blend of 100% natural & non-toxic oils and waxes. A silky smooth durable finish that starts below the surface of the timber and cannot be chipped or flake off.
