I love making things out of paper from old books, and after I learned how to fold an origami lotus flower, I thought it would make a pretty little lamp. I have them dotted all over my house, and when I have parties, I have them on every other step of the stairs.
I only ever cut up damaged books!

Full description
A hand folded origami lotus. The paper for the petals is taken from two books about Schubert and Brahms, both from the 60s, and the leaves are taken from a lovely Ladybird book about musical instruments from 1966 (I have a thing about books from the 60s!)
The lotus is about 15cm / 6 inches across and stands about 8cm / 3 inches high.
It comes with a free battery-operated flickering tea light (batteries included!)
