Some months ago I bought a box of junk - a collection of old, rusty metal bars that had once held a stair carpet in place - but not knowing what I could use them for.
Well here are a pair of them - cleaned and polished and waxed and acting as the "feet" of this desk clock. I really like them! They are firmly holding an old floppy disc in place and that is the face of the clock.
The clock movement is completely silent and the hands sweep round smoothly - no jerks. The hours are marked by adhesive jewels.
This makes an excellent desk clock and an interesting talking point. I love the fact that all these things have been given a completely new lease of life. Ths carpet bars could easily be 70+ years old.
The dimensions are --7inches wide, 7inches tall, 1.75 deep.
