I really love bird shaped jewellery and crafts, and you will find a few of these little birdies flying around my store. I wanted to make something pretty and elegant, but that also appealed to the lover of chunky jewellery in me. The blue and purple colours come from mages of butterflies which I chose to compliment the notion of delicate flight.

Full description
This kitsch, yet elegant wooden bird pendant has been lovingly hand crafted to create a one off piece for yourself, or perhaps as a gift.
The pendant starts life as a lasercut wooden shape, which is then sanded and smoothed by hand. The surface design is a delicate paper collage of beautiful blues and purples, created from my personal collection of paper ephemera.
The pendant is then coated with a crystal clear resin, which sets in a lovely domed shape and protects the surface from damage.
Next the pendant is drilled and polished by hand until nice and shiny, and strung on a silver plated curb chain. The chain is approx 42cm and the bird is 4cm wide by 2cm tall.
Though deliciously chunky in style, this necklace is very lightweight to wear and looks equally great as a feature necklace or teamed with other original jewellery.
Every bird pendant in my store is a complete original as I create the collage directly onto the bird each time, meaning you are buying a true one of a kind!
