Full description

Made from Willow and finished in dark Jacobean wax.

He stands 9 1/4" tall and 2 1/2" in diameter.

He sports a nose ring made from a paper clip.

The white of the willow and the dark of the wax have made this guy look like antique ivory.

I just love the way the wood on the bald head as its dried out has split, this is normal for logs and these splits are called 'Shakes'. They wont get any bigger and add a to the antique carving look.

The eyes utilise an old stone carvers technique to give them life.

He is an indoor carving and would look good in any setting becoming the focus of conversation.

The use of beeswax or similar sparingly will develop the existing patina over time. I have used shoe polish before but you need to use the round tin solid stuff and use it sparingly; it will require allot of elbow grease.
