The buckle depicts a celtic design of two intertwined dogs and is cast in lead-free pewter.
This listing is RESERVED and features custom enamelling in black, red and white.
If you would like a custom colourway, please conatct me. Please be aware that it will take a day or two to personalize your buckle ready to ship.

How it's made
I first carved a master from plaster of paris. A complex two-part silicone mould was made and the master discarded ensuring only a few buckles can be made before the mould degrades
Lead-free pewter is melted and poured into the mould.
The finished casting is filed and buffed by hand and then a loop and horn fixed to the reverse.
Parts of the buckle are painted with acrylic and then finally a clear epoxy enamelling resin is laboriously added over the paint using a cocktail stick! Once the resin has cured overnight the buckle is finished.
