Full description
I made the stars for these earrings using strips of paper. They are covered with the Buddhist Heart Mantra in Kanji Script on a grey background.
The Heart Mantra has been translated into English by the Dalai Lama:
"Go, go, go beyond, go thoroughly beyond, and establish yourself in enlightenment."
Paper is the traditional gift for a first wedding anniversary so this would make an ideal and unique present.
I coated the stars with 2 layers of acrylic spray for durability. Next I added a yellow seed bead at either end of the star.
The earwires are surgical steel and the total measurement is approx 2.5cm from the bottom of the earwire. The star is approx 2cm wide.
They are splash proof but not water proof, so don't wear them in the bath!
All origami earrings are supplied in a handmade origami gift box.
