Birds are traditional Christmas decorations and red and white is so very Scandinavian - a style I really love - especially at Christmas!

Full description
I used piece of red cotton gingham from my stash for this hanging bird decoration, added a spicy handful of cloves, crushed cinnamon stick and star anise (love this mix - reminds me of Christmas pudding!) and padded out with polyester toy stuffing. To finish I've added press fastener eyes, a scrap of natural linen for the beak, garden twine hanger and legs with wool felt beads for feet. White fabric strips cut with pinking sheers represent tail feathers. There's a hand stamped tag to finish off if you want to give as a gift.
Size: approx 12cms high and 8cms wide (excluding legs and hanger)
