Vintage Recipe Box
A contemporary softwood box has been carefully decoupaged with pages rescued from a vintage Mrs Beeton cook-book. A gorgeous mixture of old text and reworked illustrations of cupcakes have been used which compliment the muted tones of the painted wood surfaces on the inside and outer surfaces of the box.
This unique little box measures 16.5cm x 10.8cm and stands approximately 8.5cm tall and has two silver-coloured hinges and a pretty little catch to the lid. An intriguing use of text and image that combines the traditional art of decoupage with a contemporary composition to inform that shabby chic vibe.
