I am so happy with this design. I have made an improvement to my original design and made the strap thicker and more substantial. I have also bound the inside seema with bias tape for added strength.
You know you're an design addict when you are hanging out the washing and you get a cracking idea.
I had a basket for my pegs that cracked so I put my pegs in a hessian mag pag. I hooked one handle over my arm so that I could hold the washing on the line while using my other hand to grab a peg from the bag. Then I thought I should make a clothespin bag that can hang from the clothes line or your arm. I have a few washing lines and flit from one to the other so the arm option is fab for me.
Made using a gorgeous chocolate brown hessian cloth, brown and turquoise spotty polycotton and I have attached a toadstool and vintage fish eye button. There is no bottom seam as hessian was cut in one piece for extra strength. The bag handle has a green snap fastening in the middle so the strap can form two loops that hook over your clothes line. Or use the long strap to hang the bag from your shoulder or the fold of your arm.
In the photos there are about 50 pegs in it and room for more! Will hold well over 100!
Approximate measurements - 27 cm wide, 29cm long and handle length is 71cm.
