In this stunning one-of-a-kind piece, each of the nine Butterflies are built with the wonderful words penned in Darwin's diary whilst aboard the H.M.S beagle. The accompanying line drawings marry beautifully to the text.
The content is painstakingly chosen, the butterflies hand cut, hand sewn and attached.
The piece will come to you in a black wood shadow box measuring 28.5cm x 23.5cm which can be either freestanding or hung.
The butterfly art really works for me, from a distance it's one thing, then close up, it's a deeper level of personal detail. I can't get enough of symmetry and meaning in detail.
