From the notoriously controversial DH Lawrence Novel each of the eight Butterflies are built from the text of Lady Chatterly's Lover.
The words from this blush inducing book are painstakingly chosen, the butterflies hand cut, hand sewn and attached.
The butterfly extracts run chronologically through the artwork and as you might imagine contains adult content. Please see the images for a peek at the content.
The piece will come to you in a black wood shadow box measuring 33cm x 24cm (outer dimensions of the frame) which can be either freestanding or hung.
The butterfly art really works for me, from a distance it's one pretty thing, then close up, it's a deeper level of detail. I can't get enough of symmetry and detail.
