This item has been made from a crochet pattern of my own design as a 6 petal, triple layered flower with complimentary yellow ochre embroidery to finish.
Multi-hued ribbon yarn from the Isle of Skye was used to create this pretty, compact and dense piece. As the yarn is multi-hued the colour dispersion may vary from brooch to brooch. This adds uniqueness to each brooch to make each one of a kind. There are 3 available in this design. The brooch purchased may not be the one pictured.
The additional golden ochre embroidery has been done by hand and as such there may be small variations from brooch to brooch. This helps to enhance the individuality of each brooch. As mentioned above the brooch purchased may not be the one pictured.
The yarn used to make this brooch has a lovely sheen to it which makes this brooch easy to wear during the day or at night as part of an outfit.
At its widest point the brooch is approximately 6cm / 2.5 inches.
It is finished on the back with a silver toned safety rolling catch bar pin - please note the brooch back was electroplated with a composite nickle-silver alloy.
