Full description
This item has been made from a crochet pattern of my own design as a 6 petal double layer flower with a beautiful heart shaped wooden button at the centre to finish.
The yarn used is from a range called Manos del Uruguay - a non profit organisation which supports cooperatives throughout the countryside of Uruguay, the aim of which is to bring economic and social opportunities to rural women.
The pure wool yarn is handspun and kettle dyed which produces a beautiful marbilisation of colours.
As the yarn was hand dyed the colour dispersion may vary from brooch to brooch. This adds uniqueness to make each one of a kind. There are 3 available in this design.
Just so you know, if purchased, the brooch/corsage you receive may not be the one pictured.
The heart shaped buttons used are wooden and as they are a natural product there is some colour/pattern variation to each. This helps to enhance the individuality of each brooch/corsage.
The brooch is lovely and soft and looks wonderful either on its own on your coat or perched up high on your hat. A beautiful flash of colour.
At its widest point the brooch is approximately 7cm / 3 inches.
It is finished on the back with a silver toned safety rolling catch bar pin - please note the brooch back was electroplated with a composite nickle-silver alloy.
The base of th epin is neatly covered by a 100% cotton name label.
