Full description
I got the idea from Joelle Hoverson's "Last Minute Patchwork and Quilted Gifts" - a beautiful book! It has little bird ornaments on the cover and every time I see them I think that they are the cutest things. So I made a few birds for my baby. She loves them, especially the little ribbon tail. And the birdies are the perfect size for her tiny hands!
Each bird will be doubly hand-stitched with love and filled with toy filler and fabric scraps. Each birdie will have ribbon tail - three "feathers". They are safely stitched in and cannot be pulled off. I personally have tried. Not too hard, though. :) I will embroider on eyes and lines for wings. Their colour matches the one of tail.
Choose your own colours! Check the second picture and convo me 2 numbers:
1) the colour of body
2) the colour of belly
and third for one of four colours of ribbon for tail:
3) red, yellow, green or light blue
I am happy to make you several birds. Just tell me how many you want. They will be cheaper!
Most of my fabrics I use (at the moment) have been either my own or my family's clothes. No underwear or socks! Others come from charity shops, I buy mainly curtains. Some of the fabrics are hand-dyed.
