This merry Santa Star will add a touch of magic to your seasonal decorations, whether on the Christmas tree, beside the fire or in the window. He will make a great festive gift too.
This Santa is made to order so please allow two weeks to make.
I have used glass of different colours, textures and effects to create my super Santa Star. I have combined rich red for his hat, white for his beard and hat and coat detail as well as black for his boots and belt. I have fused glass to create his face with coal black eyes and red nose.
Santa Star is created using the traditional Tiffany technique and the solder is finished off with a black patina, finally polished up with carnauba wax to give everlasting shine. This is real stained glass, not painted on!
Approx 18 x 18 cm (7 x 7 in) from the point tips, he comes ready to hang with a bright red ribbon.
I am a British maker working from my home-based studio overlooking meadow and woodland in a picturesque Surrey village. Stained glass is perfectly suited to Christmas, with its sparkle, mystery and sense of tradition.
