Handmade wire Wings, wrapped in green wool. I have woven some recycled golden stretchy matrerial on the main wings.....gold and glittery I have then sewn 6 Peacock feathers on up the main stem....other parts of the feathers are left to flutter in the breeze.....Gentle flying speeds are needed with these beautiful wings. On the smaller bottom wings I have used wire, bells and more gold stretchy material to decorate and to give a nice jingle as you fly. For the centre of the wings I have knitted a wool cover to give extra padding and I think it looks quite pretty! The wings are comfortably worn with the securely tied and sewn elastic loops which fit over your shoulders.
I love all of my wings and each and every pair contain lots of love which I hope you can feel when you wear them(they say food tastes better when made with love, I think this theory applies to wings too!)
The wings are formed from a tough wire which does not bend easily so they should keep their shape, but they are not too heavy to wear either. My wings have a rustic charm, but I do always do my best to make sure everything is safe and secure, I know how fast some people fly!
Wings measure approx 23 inches x 18 inches
