This giclee print is made from my own photograph of my original painting of Holy Isle. The original painting was painted en plein air on Tintoretto panel, and was inspired by the feeling of the island on the day, having succssfully given myself over to the spirit of the place, allowing the painting to be made.

Brightly coloured print of original oil painting of Holy Isle, Firth of Clyde by Australian artist Roberta MacRae.
Holy Isle : Coexistence
Artist Roberta MacRae
Artists limited edition print of original oil painting
This lovely print is from an original painting by Roberta MacRae. I paint in a vividly expressionistic style, mainly in Scotland. The original painting was in oil on Tintoretto panel painted en plein air in Lamlash, Isle of Arran. Holy Isle is now a Tibetan Buddhist centre, and has a long association with religious contemplative retreat, having been the place where St Molio (St Molaise) was sent in the 7th century, by St Columba. He lived as a hermit in a cave on the island.
