Sheep Ring made with handmade felt.
This felt landscape ring is made using wet felting and needle felting techniques. I use a mixture of pure merino wool and silk fibres for the sky and more merino in soft colours for the hill and foreground. The tree is made from hand dyed Orkney wool. A little bit of machine stitch adds detail and the tree and sheep are needle felted on by hand.
The landscape is then mounted in a silver plated ring base measuring 4.5cm long and 2.5cm wide. The ring fits on any finger size with an adjustable double band.
Comes gift wrapped in box shown.
Care of this ring - Being made of felt this ring would have to be worn with care. If it gets wet, any access moisture can be absorbed using clean kitchen towel and then left to dry naturally. Any loose fibres that form can be carefully snipped away using nail scissors.
