This gorgeous boy's laundry bag in blues is a lovely addition to any child's room or nursery. I made one for my daughter (in different colours!) and it's really handy hanging on the back of her bedroom door to stuff the dirty washing in, and then carry it downstairs to the washing machine without dropping tiny socks on every other stair on the way! Someone also bought one as a bag for their child's spare clothes at nursery.
The bag is made from calico cotton fabric. Along the base of the front are appliqued three stars, each cut from a different fabric: blue and white stripy, blue and red check and dark blue with pin-prick white spots and red anchors. Each is machine appliqued using blue thread. The hem at the top of the bag is top-stitched in blue thread. The runner for the blue ribbon is made of dark blue fabric with tiny white spots and top-stitched in place with blue thread. The internal seams are overlocked in white thread to give strength and prevent fraying. The draw-string is light-blue gingham ribbon.
If you would like to customise this item to your requirements please get in touch - I could add a name, or the words 'LAUNDRY' or 'WASHING', or switch the shapes for a word. Embroidering a single name onto the bag in blue will cost £10 because of the time it takes. For more than three appliqued shapes or letters please contact me for a price quote.
The bag measures 22.25" wide by 29.75" deep.
Fully machine washable.
This is a great personalised present for any boy whatever the occasion: birthday, christmas, christening, baptism, even just being born! If you're feeling really generous, or doing up a nursery or child's room both items would be lovely together.
