Full description
This lovely bowl is made from a base of un-dyed grey wool combined with shades of soft pink and green Merino which have been painstakingly added in fine layers to create a wonderfully soft, fuzzy effect.
The colour mix was inspired by a recent holiday to north-west Scotland and the sight of soft heather mixed with zingy lichen and bracken against the steely grey background of the coastal rocks. Beautiful!
I started making my fuzzy bowls as a way of experimenting with making 3 dimensional forms using my felting needle - they have been created entirely from wool by using the special needle to felt the fibres together.
The bowl measures approximately 10cm diameter and 4.5cm height.
