The bluebirds may be flying overhead, but down in the undergrowth someone small is scurrying around tending the wild flowers.
It's the Gardening Mouse! He makes a lovely ornament, and an even better pincusion!
He is needlefelted with my usual hand dyed Merino wool in a pretty aqua blue and embellished with flowers in fine Bluefaced Leicester yarn, also hand dyed by me.
He stands about 8cm high
Needelefelting is a labour intensive process using a barbed needle to mesh the fibres together to form a soft, but solid sculpure.
