If you're treating yourself to a bottle of something nice, then why stick an old cork in it?
Make it more special with this One-of-a-kind glass marble stopper. Made by hand by melting borosilicate glass (pyrex type glass) direct in a superhot propane & oxygen flame, I have formed inside a solid glass marble a cream-white flower using a newly released experimental glass from USA that makes really solid flowers with a more realistic colours.
In the centre I have formed three central stems to give a 'tubular' effect with orange/yellow stripes to mark the lip of the flowers. Like real flowers they are open to different degrees, one fully open, one part open, and the third still flat and about to open. Around these I've also put some more smaller petals. Also on the petals are a few tiny bubbles to give the look of dew. The marble is just over 26mm (1inch) in diameter!
The stopper will fit most standard bottles with a rubber collar to help make a good seal, the metal has a chrome finish, and I've firmly attached the glass into the stopper with a glass stalk 'anchor' and strong resin glue.
The marble has been annealed in a digitally controlled kiln, although it is glass so rough handling is NOT recommended, but handwashing is recommended
