This unique wooden box is both quirkily decorative and highly functional, and is sure to be treasured by any craftsperson who is lucky enough to own it!
Measuring approx 23 cm x 23 cm, and approx 4 cm deep, the box has been divided into nine square sections, making it a very useful storage system for sewing and haberdashery items, beads, jewellery, etc. Its functionality has been further enhanced by its regenerated sliding lid. Originally clear perspex, it is now both decorative and unique, with a layer of decoupaged vintage sewing and knitting adverts from the 1950s to 1970s. At least ten layers of gloss varnish means that the item is wipeable clean and sufficiently attractive to be kept on show rather than tidied away!
