'Shades of Autumn' A pretty and useful hand made Crocheted Multicoloured Autumn shades bulb style purse, or handbag if you prefer, with draw string closure and fixed wrist strap.
The item is unique and hand crocheted by myself. I love this multicoloured yarn which forms a neutral pattern of stripes and blotches. I felt crocheting in this bulb style would make a very durable purse.
Starting at the base, I crocheted a continuous circle, then worked up the sides to form a bulb shape, I added spaces in the neck of the purse, so that a crocheted drawstring could be added, then completed the item with a crocheted loop feature to add a little frill, and then completed with a little fixed wrist strap or handle for the handbag.
This is a 100% Acrylic item, so it can be washed with care. It can be machine washed but I would suggest drying flat and shaped whilst damp to retain its bulb shape.
The approximate measurements of this pretty bag are that, when laid flat it is approx 20cms in length, approx 17cms in width.
I thoroughly enjoy creating useful and unusual items with yarn. Knitting and crochet are so relaxing! I really love this multi-coloured yarn, I find it is so interesting! I have previously made a larger style bag, and my daughter asked if I could make a smaller style, so here it is! This little handbag or purse if you prefer, would be ideal for small items or for a Young girls bag.
