Full description

I'm not sure if this should be considered more for an actual present for someone rather than a box FOR a gift! It would look so pretty on a coffee table just as decor or somewhere to store matches to light scented candles or suchlike. It's definatley not a throw-away item! It would be perfect for Mothers Day too!

This is a beautiful and sturdy plywood box, measuring 12cm x 12cm x 4cm.

I have decoupaged this with a bright Indian style paper, with pinks, purples, a slight hint of orange, and soft burnished gold. To add to the style of the piece I have also decoupaged the inner base for a nice surprise when you open it up! It just made me think of summer in a box!

This would be great as a little gift on it's own, or with some lovingly handmade chocolates inside, or perhaps a silk scarf or even some undies in there!

I crafted this onboard our houseboat, Zulu, while the cats sat up the far end of my workbench eying me suspiciously. I think I'm far more convinced of the merits of decoupage than they are!

If you'd like to know more about me or our life onboard then please come and say hi at www.facebook.com/littlefloatingcraftco or read my blog at www.littlefloatingcraftco.blogspot.com

Thanks so much for looking!
