Full description
This Altered Art Wooden Key Cabinet measures 25cm high x 20cm wide (18 If you don't count the overhang at the top) and it is 6cm deep. It has hooks for 5 keys or bunches of keys (keys not included)
It has been painted in a distressed shabby chic manner with firstly duck egg blue, then dry brushed with cream then sanded back in places. it has patches of gold metal leaf.
The front panel is a collage consisting of a vintage book page from the story with the title "The Occupant Of The Room" on top of that is a "captured fairy" in an acetate "Faux Jar".
(another vintage book page is behind the jar.)
The little vintage style, hand stamped boy inside the jar has the words "to be great is to be misunderstood" on his front and he has had feather butterfly wings attached to turn him in to a magical little fairy.
there are metal embellishments (two leaves and a filigree brass butterfly) and the finishing touch is the highly decorative luxurious beaded and sequinned trim.
