Full description
I made this, along with an entire range of these pieces for my university degree show last year. This bowl in particular is made from hand turned Ash, with a silver plated inner bowl, and a silver plated foot-ring. The wood is finished with beeswax so it's a nice natural finish. The silver plated areas need cleaning every now and again just to avoid them getting tarnished, just with a bit of talc and a bit of tissue. The inner bowl and the foot-ring are both bonded to the wood, and the foot-ring is a little scratched from sitting on my exhibition plinth (but this is going to happen anywhere).
The bowl measures about 70mm in height and about 65mm widthways. The top opening is 50mm and the depth is about 15/20mm.
This is just a singular one but I am going to list some of my other pieces as well that are more complex.
