Full description
This is a narrow trim woven in Bluefaced Leicester wool. I have dyed the wool by hand using Woad and Madder. The colours are deep, rich and historically accurate for Anglo Saxons, Vikings and onwards.
Woad and Madder were both expensive dyes so this trim is suitable for a mid status person if used for reenactment.
The pattern has been achieved by manipulating individual cards and I have used the missing hole technique to make it thinner. Both sides of the trim are lovely as you can see on the pictures.
