Full description
Hand thrown snail yarn bowl glazed in ruby red. Handmade Stoneware Pottery by littlewrenpottery on Folksy.
I produced this bulbed ceramic yarn bowl by hand throwing 1.3 kg of white Devonshire stoneware clay on my potters wheel. Its size will accommodate double knit yarn and prevents your balls of yarn rolling around on the floor away from pets or little wandering hands.
This piece would make a great gift for the knitter in your life.
I hand carved a snail design to decorate the outside of this piece, the curl for your yarn forms the inside of the snail's shell. The bowl has been glazed in a ruby red unfortunately at the front during firing it has become slightly thin in places and I've discounted this piece slightly to reflect this.
A smooth finish gives a glossy texture to the touch and I've hand stamped it with the Little Wren Pottery seal showing its origin as a piece of handmade pottery.
These plates can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
The yarn bowl is in 5.2 inches (13 cm) in diameter and 3.4 inches (8.2 cm) in height.
As much as I love our furry friends this piece was created in a pet free and smoke free studio.
