"Thraan" an affectionate term for a person who is stubborn in the Doric dialect of the North East of Scotland.
This hand made porcelain box is decorated with the traditional cobalt blue of delft and 22ct gold lustre with a clear glaze inside. The naturally strong qualities of the fired porcelain is coupled with a lovely translucency if held up to the light, where you can see other snippits of doric words and phrases raised on the surface.

I hand make all my work from mixing up my special porcelain recipe to staying up till 3am making sure the temperature is spot-on, in my wee studio/ garage in rural Aberdeenshire.
In addition to the UK and US, I can post items to mainland europe for £5.50, and will give a quote for anywhere else
