applique & freehand embroidery floral pencil case – large.
this generously sized case measures approximately 26 cm wide x 16 cm (10 x 6 inches) – perfect for the safe keeping of art & craft preciouses.
the bright and cheerful stylised flowers are cut by hand from cottons & linens, are layered and then appliqued, the detail stitched freehand using the free motion embroidery technique.
this case is made entirely on a domestic sewing machine – no computerised gubbins - everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring it is unique, well made and securely constructed.
the purse itself is made from heavy weight cotton calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink when washed.
it is stiffened with vilene, lined with medium weight cotton calico and has a zip fastening.
a small embroidered flower hangs from the zip pull.
the co-ordinating hanging loop is extra securely fastened.
my design is based on original drawings by Little Black Heart, and is used under license.
