Full description
I recently worked with a Hampshire based charity called Emmaus, who help rebuild homeless people's lives. This was part of a project with Eastleigh Borough Council called 'Enliven'. From discarded items such as books, maps, wool and embroidery templates I created paper garments. Wayne Hemmingway requested I exhibit my work at the "Vintage at Southbank" show after being named overall winner of the Enliven Project.
These pieces of work are framed papercuts of the original artworks, on a hand-painted background. Each one is therefore unique. This dress was made from an a hymn book, map, and discarded wool.
For all work sold 10% will be donated to Emmaus Hampshire.
