This is an illustrated artist book with an illustration of the Beanstalk.
The Beanstalk is one of the many wishes of humanity to have the means to reach the heavens.
Reminiscent of the 'World Tree', a motif present in several religions and mythologies, providing connection of earth with the underground through its roots and the heaven through its branches.
The book is made of ten pannels bound together by ribbon and can be hung up.
Dimensions are approx. 12.5 cm x 11.5 cm x 3 cm (5’’ x 4.5’’ x 1.2’’) and when hang up, from the hanging nail to the bottom of the last pannel it is 124 cm (4’) long.
The illustration is printed on acid free, very smooth, off white paper made in Holland.
