Such simplicity! These earrings are deceptively subtle, but they look glorious on. A beautiful old piece of lace, recreated in silver. No tinkering, no playing about. Matching necklace available (listed elsewhere and see photo.).
After I have annealed (heated!) the silver, I take the lace and imprint it on to the 0.8mm/ 1/32" thick silver sheet using a rolling mill. Each piece is utterly unique, and this one is a complete one off as I only had a scrap of this lace. Once the lace has gone through the mill it pretty much crumbles away.
The earrings are on sterling silver earwires, also handmade, and are approximately 2"/50mm long including the earwire.
