The ultimate vintage style baby shawl hand knitted in 100% pure Shetland wool
The shawl is made from 100% pure Shetland wool which, although more expensive than acrylic mixes, will give maximum softness and retaining the character and texture of the shawl even after many washes.
The 2 ply Shetland lace yarn provides quality combined with softness, warmth and a richness which is ideal to bring your baby home from hospital and will bring a traditional feel to the christening ceremony.
The pattern used is based on 'feather and fan' and has been used in the Shetland Isles for traditional knitted shawls for well over a 100 years.
It is a creamy white and measures 50 x 50ins (127 x 127cm) approximately.
This shawl would make an ideal new baby present or a Christening gift and looked after properly can be passed down from generation to generation.
