Full description
This wooden box measures 14cm x 9cm and is 5cm tall.
It has been altered to look like an ancient rusty box. weathered and worn, with a hint of steampunk flavour about it.
the box is new and wooden but has had a rusting technique applied to it with a layer of metal cog and wheel embellishments added beforehand.
there is an Art Nouveau stylised fairy in the corner , a metal ornate filigree butterfly and a clock with an arrow dial also embellishing the box.
the edges have been decorated to give the impression of rusty nails or rivets. and then a touch of gold gilt wax polish has been used to highlight some of the raised areas.
