I love the look of coral, but feel uncomfortable with the thought of a piece of real coral in my house, so this is my solution... This piece is made with bright white, highly textured porcelain and has been left unglazed. No moulds or texture pads have been used, and the construction is that of an upside down pinch pot. I have initialed and dated the interior.
This piece measures 2 inches/5 cm across and 1 3/8 inches/3.5cm high. Although ligher than a traditional glass paperweigh, it'll still keep your papers together, look good on a shelf, or of course be completely at home in the bathroom.
This piece will delivered in a small black gift box.
Totally unique and original, these pieces are based on my ceramic sculptures. I have been developing this technique for the past five years influenced by coral, geology and the inherent qualities of the clay itself.
