A simple retro geek chic 3.5" square notebook made from a disassembled old genuine black computer floppy disk that has either been rescued before it went to landfill, or has sat around my house waiting for me to make better use out of it for some years.

The flexible magnetic disk has been removed and replaced with approximately 125 sheets (250 writing pages) of hand cut, hand punched, recycled plain paper, so you can read and write to your own 3.5” floppy disk without the need for a floppy disk drive! Upcycled frosted plastic end pages add further protection to the writing pages and give added strength to the notebook.

Each notepad, including covers, is almost 0.75” thick (almost 2cm) and has been wire bound so that you can fold the cover right back 360 degrees or simply lie it open at 180 degrees flat. The original labels have been removed and the sticky bits cleaned off!

Pocket sized it is perfect for the IT professional who needs to make a quick note of a license key or system setting when dashing around from one computer to another. Be cool! Impress colleagues! Equally it is ideal as a telephone or desk short notepad.

Perhaps you could give this to a groom to be or one of the groomsmen, or the best man at a wedding as a fun gift for them to write their speech in and deliver it from on the big day! Much more aesthetically pleasing and fun than bits of card that get muddled up, stuck together or lost!

Please note that these notepads are made from original disks, which are recycled and as such may show small signs of wear, although this does not detract from the attractiveness of the piece. There may also be some pale marks within the plastic on the disks around the holes punched in them – these stress marks are to be expected and are caused when the pressure is applied to punch through the plastic casing of the floppies.

You will receive ONE notepad representative of the ones shown in the photos. The notebook you will receive will be selected at random from ones bound with black, white, red or silver metallic wire. Within the UK, this item is shipped via Royal Mail First Class Post, but can be shipped Recorded "Signed For" if requested (please contact for a quote - typically around 80p extra). For Europe and the Rest of the World, the item is sent via Royal Mail Airmail.
