Full description
This knititng bag is ideal for socks and other small items,or for any other small craft, such as crochet, cross stitch, etc. I have made it from a rare 2005 Laurel Burch fabric, from her "Fanciful Felines" collection for Clothworks. This one is "Arched Cats", on a turquoise background. The cats are multi-coloured and multi-patterned, the colours including orange, violet, lime green, all outlined in gold. Some cats are sitting, some standing, some arching over smaller cats.
The bag has a round base, upcycled from an old pair of jeans, as I did not want to "waste" any of this gorgeous fabric on the base, where it wouldn't be seen. The bag sides are gently gathered onto this base, so that the bag "sits" nicely. It is fully lined in contrasting, again upcycled, 100% cotton. Closed with a plastic toggle, and finished with coloured wooden square beads.
Approximate dimensions - internal height 18cms, internal diameter 55cms.
I do not recommend this item is machine washed, however, spot cleaning or a gentle handwash should be OK.
